Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread
  • 8 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
  • 8 ounces ham, sliced
  • 8 ounces salami, sliced
  • 8 ounces pepperoni, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup sliced banana peppers
  • 1/4 cup Italian dressing
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Slice the Italian bread in half horizontally.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the provolone cheese, ham, salami, pepperoni, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, black olives, and banana peppers.
  3. Add the Italian dressing and mayonnaise to the bowl.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Chop all the ingredients together using a knife or mezzaluna until finely chopped.
  6. Spread the chopped mixture evenly over the bottom half of the Italian bread.
  7. Place the top half of the bread over the filling.
  8. Slice the sandwich into individual portions.
  9. Serve immediately.
