Description

Make this simple, hydrating Watermelon Lime Refresher. This non-alcoholic drink uses fresh watermelon and bright lime juice for a perfect summer beverage.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups cubed seedless watermelon
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4 limes)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime slices and mint sprigs for garnish


Instructions

  1. Place the cubed watermelon, lime juice, water, and sugar into a blender.
  2. Blend on high speed until completely smooth.
  3. Taste the mixture and add more sugar if you prefer a sweeter drink.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove any pulp. Press down on the solids to extract all liquid.
  5. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Serve the refresher over ice cubes. Garnish each glass with a lime slice and a mint sprig.

Notes

  • For a sparkling version, reduce the added water to 2 tablespoons and top each serving with 1/4 cup of club soda or sparkling water.
  • If your watermelon is very sweet, you may omit the added sugar entirely.
  • Add 4-5 fresh mint leaves to the blender with the watermelon for an added layer of flavor.
