Description
Make this simple, hydrating Watermelon Lime Refresher. This non-alcoholic drink uses fresh watermelon and bright lime juice for a perfect summer beverage.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups cubed seedless watermelon
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4 limes)
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- Ice cubes
- Lime slices and mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions
- Place the cubed watermelon, lime juice, water, and sugar into a blender.
- Blend on high speed until completely smooth.
- Taste the mixture and add more sugar if you prefer a sweeter drink.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove any pulp. Press down on the solids to extract all liquid.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve the refresher over ice cubes. Garnish each glass with a lime slice and a mint sprig.
Notes
- For a sparkling version, reduce the added water to 2 tablespoons and top each serving with 1/4 cup of club soda or sparkling water.
- If your watermelon is very sweet, you may omit the added sugar entirely.
- Add 4-5 fresh mint leaves to the blender with the watermelon for an added layer of flavor.
