Description

Transform your holiday leftovers into a gourmet lunch with this quick and easy 15-minute Turkey Cranberry Grilled Cheese. It’s a delicious way to enjoy classic flavors in a new way.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of your favorite bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cooked turkey
  • 2 ounces cheese, sliced or shredded (cheddar, provolone, or Gruyere work well)
  • 2 tablespoons cranberry sauce


Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Layer the cheese, turkey, and cranberry sauce on top of the bread in the skillet.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  5. Grill for 3-5 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey.
  6. Slice in half and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Feel free to add a thin layer of mayonnaise to the inside of the bread for extra richness.
  • A sprinkle of black pepper can add a nice touch.
