This layered taco dip is a viral sensation. It is easy to make and perfect for parties.

- 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
- 1 (1 ounce) packet taco seasoning
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 2 roma tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine refried beans and taco seasoning. Spread evenly onto the bottom of a 9×13 inch serving platter or dish.
- In another bowl, mix softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Spread this mixture over the bean layer.
- Carefully spread salsa over the cream cheese layer.
- Evenly sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the salsa.
- Top with green onions, black olives, and diced tomatoes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro.
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve with tortilla chips.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, choose a hot salsa.
- You can prepare this dip a few hours ahead of time.
- Feel free to add other toppings like sliced jalapeños or a sprinkle of hot sauce.
