Homemade granola bars packed with nutritious ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • 1/4 cup seeds (chia seeds, flax seeds, or pumpkin seeds)
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit (cranberries, raisins, or apricots)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine oats, nuts, seeds, and dried fruit.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together honey or maple syrup, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well combined.
  5. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
  7. Let the granola cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • You can customize the nuts, seeds, and dried fruit to your preference.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
  • For a chewier bar, add 1/4 cup of nut butter to the wet ingredients.
