Description
Make delicious strawberry freezer jam without the need for traditional canning. This recipe is easy and foolproof.
Ingredients

- 2 cups crushed strawberries (about 1 quart ripe strawberries)
- 4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 pouch (3 ounces) liquid fruit pectin
Instructions
- Wash and hull strawberries. Crush them one layer at a time in a large bowl using a potato masher or fork.
- Measure exactly 2 cups of crushed strawberries into a large bowl.
- Add exactly 4 cups of granulated sugar to the strawberries and stir until well combined. Let stand for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add 1 pouch of liquid fruit pectin to the mixture and stir for 3 minutes.
- Ladle jam into clean jars, leaving 1/2 inch headspace.
- Wipe rims clean and seal tightly with lids.
- Let stand at room temperature for 24 hours, or until set.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or freeze for up to 1 year.
Notes
- Ensure jars and lids are clean before filling.
- Use ripe but firm strawberries for best results.
- Do not reduce sugar, as it is necessary for the jam to set properly.
