- 1/2 teaspoon cumin

- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the rinsed chickpeas very dry with a paper towel. This is key for a crispy texture.
- In a medium bowl, toss the dried chickpeas with olive oil until evenly coated.
- In a small bowl, mix together the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), and salt.
- Sprinkle the spice mixture over the chickpeas and toss until they are well-coated.
- Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Roast for 20-30 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown. Shake the pan occasionally to ensure even roasting.
- Let them cool slightly before enjoying.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can remove the skins from the chickpeas, but this is optional.
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less cayenne pepper.
- Store any leftover roasted chickpeas in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
