Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons sriracha (adjust to your spice preference)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the honey, sriracha, and rice vinegar. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
- Stir in the sesame oil.
- Serve the Spicy Honey Garlic Chicken hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
- For a milder spice, reduce the amount of sriracha.
- You can substitute chicken breasts for chicken thighs, but adjust the cooking time to ensure they are not overcooked.
- Serve with steamed rice or your favorite side dish.
