Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato slices with olive oil until evenly coated.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  4. Sprinkle the spice mixture over the sweet potato slices and toss gently to coat.
  5. Arrange the sweet potato slices in a single layer on baking sheets. Do not overcrowd the pans.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned and the chips are tender and slightly crispy.
  7. Flip the chips halfway through baking for even cooking.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can bake them for a few additional minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • Adjust the spices to your preference. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a little heat.
  • These chips are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
