Ingredients

  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies
  • 1 package (12 oz) white candy melts
  • 1/4 cup shortening (optional, for smoother melting)
  • Black decorating gel
  • Orange decorating gel or small orange candies (like Necco wafers or circus peanuts cut small)
  • Red or green decorating icing
  • Small candy canes or pretzel sticks


Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate the Oreo cookies. You will use the cream-filled halves.
  3. Melt the white candy melts according to package directions, using a double boiler or microwave. Stir in shortening if using.
  4. Dip each Oreo cookie half into the melted candy melts, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  5. Place the coated Oreo on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Before the candy coating hardens, attach a small candy cane or pretzel stick to the side of each coated Oreo to serve as the snowman’s arms.
  7. Use black decorating gel to draw eyes and buttons on the snowman’s face.
  8. Use orange decorating gel or a small piece of orange candy to create a carrot nose.
  9. Use red or green decorating icing to tie a scarf around the snowman’s neck.
  10. Allow the candy coating to set completely.
