Description

Indulge in the irresistible combination of sweet caramel and crunchy pretzels with these delightful Salted Caramel Pretzel Magic Bars. A perfect treat for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pretzels
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • Flaky sea salt, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the warm crust.
  6. Let the chocolate chips sit for 5 minutes to soften, then spread them evenly into a melted layer.
  7. Scatter the chopped pretzels over the chocolate layer.
  8. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the pretzels.
  9. Bake for another 10-12 minutes, or until the caramel is bubbly and the edges are golden.
  10. Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. This is important for them to set properly.
  11. Once cooled, sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  12. Cut into bars and serve.

Notes

  • For easier cutting, chill the bars in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
  • You can use milk chocolate or dark chocolate chips if you prefer.
  • Feel free to add other mix-ins like chopped nuts or toffee bits.
