Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into tenders
- 1 cup crushed pretzels (about 4 ounces)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a shallow dish, combine the crushed pretzels, Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place the flour in another shallow dish and the beaten eggs in a third shallow dish.
- Dredge each chicken tender first in the flour, shaking off any excess.
- Dip the floured tender into the beaten eggs, letting any excess drip off.
- Press the egg-coated tender into the pretzel mixture, coating all sides.
- Place the coated tenders on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle the tenders with olive oil.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown and crispy.
Notes
- For finer pretzel crumbs, place pretzels in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin.
- You can add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the pretzel mixture for a little heat.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like honey mustard or ranch.
