  • Author: Lina Kohn
  • Total Time: 15 minutes plus 30 minutes chilling
  • Yield: Approximately 20 truffles
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Create delightful no-bake peppermint Oreo truffles in just 15 minutes. These easy holiday treats are perfect for Christmas.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 Oreo cookies
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
  • Crushed candy canes, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a plastic bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese. Mix well until a dough forms.
  3. Stir in the peppermint extract.
  4. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Melt the white chocolate chips with the coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  6. Dip each Oreo ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated.
  7. Place the coated truffles back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. If desired, sprinkle with crushed candy canes while the chocolate is still wet.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has set.

Notes

  • For easier dipping, use a fork or a toothpick to coat the truffles.
  • Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
