- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/4 cup crushed candy canes for topping
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Stir constantly until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Stir in the peppermint extract and vanilla extract.
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan.
- If using, sprinkle crushed candy canes evenly over the top.
- Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until firm.
- Once firm, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper.
- Cut into small squares and serve.
Notes
- For a deeper mocha flavor, you can add 1-2 tablespoons of instant espresso powder to the mixture.
- Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
