Description
Enjoy a refreshing Peach Iced Tea, perfect for summer. This cold-brewed tea is simple to make and bursting with fruity flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ripe peaches, sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 8 cups cold water
- 8 black tea bags
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine the sliced peaches and sugar. Gently muddle the peaches to release their juices.
- Add the tea bags to the pitcher.
- Pour in the cold water.
- Stir gently to combine.
- Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, or overnight, to allow the tea to cold brew and the flavors to meld.
- Remove the tea bags and strain the tea through a fine-mesh sieve into another pitcher, pressing gently on the peaches to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
- Serve the Peach Iced Tea over ice.
- Garnish with fresh mint sprigs if desired.
Notes
- For a sweeter tea, add more sugar to taste.
- You can substitute other fruits like nectarines or apricots for the peaches.
- Ensure your peaches are ripe for the best flavor.
