Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, gently toss the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Spread this mixture evenly into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Pour the milk into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour the melted butter into the batter and stir until smooth.
- Spoon dollops of the batter over the peach mixture in the baking dish, covering it as much as possible.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.
