Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or grease it well.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
