Description
Make these simple, no-bake chocolate hazelnut balls quickly for an easy, crunchy snack or dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup creamy hazelnut spread
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup crisped rice cereal
- 1/2 cup finely chopped toasted hazelnuts
- 4 ounces dark chocolate, melted (for coating)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the hazelnut spread, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in the crisped rice cereal and chopped hazelnuts until everything is evenly coated with the chocolate mixture.
- Roll the mixture into small, bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Chill the balls in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.
- Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, or drizzle the chocolate over the tops.
- Return the coated balls to the parchment-lined sheet.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate coating is set.
Notes
- For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free crisped rice cereal.
- You can substitute peanut butter for hazelnut spread if you prefer a different flavor base.
- Store the finished balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
