Description

Make the famous Neiman Marcus Dip, also known as Million Dollar Dip. This creamy, cheesy spread with bacon and almonds is a quick, retro party favorite perfect for game days or potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crumbled cooked bacon
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Crackers, chips, or vegetables for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth.
  2. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, cooked bacon, garlic powder, and black pepper until fully mixed.
  3. Spread the mixture into a serving dish.
  4. In a small, dry skillet over medium heat, toast the sliced almonds until lightly golden and fragrant, about 3 to 5 minutes. Watch them closely to prevent burning.
  5. Sprinkle the toasted almonds and chopped green onions evenly over the top of the dip.
  6. Cover the dish and chill the Neiman Marcus Dip for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Serve your creamy cheese dip cold with your favorite crackers, tortilla chips, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • Toasting the almonds significantly improves their flavor and crunch.
  • You can prepare this make ahead dips recipe up to 24 hours in advance; just add the topping before serving.
  • For a different texture, substitute pecans for almonds in this bacon almond dip.
