Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 12 slider buns
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • 24 black olives, sliced (for eyes)
  • 24 pieces of string cheese (for mummy wrap)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and milk. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the mummy wrap. Cut the string cheese into thin strips.
  6. Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven.
  7. In a small saucepan, warm the marinara sauce.
  8. Cut a slit in the top of each meatball and insert two olive slices for eyes.
  9. Wrap the string cheese strips around each meatball to resemble a mummy.
  10. Place the wrapped meatballs in the marinara sauce and gently toss to coat.
  11. Toast the slider buns.
  12. Place one mummy meatball on each slider bun.
  13. Top each meatball with a slice of provolone cheese.
  14. Briefly place the sliders under the broiler for about 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • You can use pre-made mini meatballs to save time.
  • Get creative with the mummy wrap by crisscrossing the cheese strips.
  • Serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
