  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Clean the morel mushrooms thoroughly. Slice larger mushrooms in half.
  2. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add morel mushrooms to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until they release their liquid and the liquid evaporates, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour in white wine and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let the wine reduce slightly.
  6. If using, stir in heavy cream and cook until slightly thickened.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
