Description

These air fryer Maple Sriracha Wings are a quick and flavorful appetizer, perfect for game day or any gathering. The sweet maple glaze combined with spicy sriracha creates a delicious balance that everyone will love. You can make these bold-flavored chicken wings in just 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  4. Cook for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. While the wings are cooking, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  6. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  7. Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the maple sriracha glaze over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Return the glazed wings to the air fryer for another 2-3 minutes to let the glaze set.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For crispier wings, ensure they are patted dry before tossing with oil and seasonings.
  • Adjust the amount of sriracha to control the spice level.
  • If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake these wings in a 400°F (200°C) oven for 35-45 minutes, flipping halfway.
