Description

A delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, this Mango Tiramisu combines the creamy richness of mascarpone with the sweet, tropical flavor of fresh mango for a refreshing and elegant treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250g mascarpone cheese
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 250g ripe mangoes, pureed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 150g ladyfingers
  • 1/4 cup mango nectar or juice
  • Fresh mango slices, for garnish
  • Mint leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with half the sugar until pale and creamy.
  2. Stir in the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add the remaining sugar and continue whisking until stiff, glossy peaks form. Gently fold the egg whites into the mascarpone mixture.
  5. Dip the ladyfingers briefly into the mango nectar or juice.
  6. Arrange a layer of the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.
  7. Spoon half of the mango-mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  8. Spread the mango puree evenly over the mascarpone layer.
  9. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mango-mascarpone mixture.
  10. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  11. Garnish with fresh mango slices and mint leaves before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure your mangoes are ripe for the best flavor.
  • Do not over-soak the ladyfingers, or they will become too mushy.
  • For a richer flavor, you can add a tablespoon of rum or mango liqueur to the mango nectar.
