Shockingly Simple Lavender Lemonade 1 Cup Sweetness

  • Author: Lina Kohn
  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 6-8 servings

Description

A refreshing and aromatic lemonade infused with the delicate floral notes of lavender.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water (for simple syrup)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender

Instructions

  1. Make a simple syrup by combining 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Do not boil.
  2. Remove the simple syrup from the heat and stir in the dried culinary lavender. Let steep for 15-20 minutes to infuse the flavor.
  3. Strain the lavender simple syrup to remove the lavender buds.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the strained lavender simple syrup, 4 cups of cold water, and the fresh lemon juice.
  5. Stir well to combine.
  6. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with a lemon slice or a sprig of fresh lavender, if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of simple syrup to your desired level of sweetness.
  • For a stronger lavender flavor, steep the lavender for a longer period.
  • You can use fresh lavender flowers if available, but ensure they are culinary grade.
  • This lemonade can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
