Description
A refreshing and aromatic lemonade infused with the delicate floral notes of lavender.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water (for simple syrup)
- 4 cups cold water
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
Instructions
- Make a simple syrup by combining 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Do not boil.
- Remove the simple syrup from the heat and stir in the dried culinary lavender. Let steep for 15-20 minutes to infuse the flavor.
- Strain the lavender simple syrup to remove the lavender buds.
- In a large pitcher, combine the strained lavender simple syrup, 4 cups of cold water, and the fresh lemon juice.
- Stir well to combine.
- Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve over ice and garnish with a lemon slice or a sprig of fresh lavender, if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of simple syrup to your desired level of sweetness.
- For a stronger lavender flavor, steep the lavender for a longer period.
- You can use fresh lavender flowers if available, but ensure they are culinary grade.
- This lemonade can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
