Description

Make delicious honey garlic pork chops quickly with this easy 20-minute skillet dinner recipe. It’s a sweet and savory weeknight meal with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon water (optional, if using cornstarch)

Instructions

  1. Pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove pork chops from skillet and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  5. Pour in honey, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir to combine.
  6. If thickening the sauce, whisk together cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the skillet.
  7. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 1-2 minutes until it slightly thickens.
  8. Return pork chops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them.
  9. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes, or until pork chops are cooked through to your desired doneness.
  10. Serve immediately with the honey garlic sauce spooned over the top.

Notes

  • For thicker pork chops, you may need to adjust cooking time.
