Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening sauce)
- 1 tablespoon water (optional, if using cornstarch)
Instructions
- Pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove pork chops from skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in honey, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir to combine.
- If thickening the sauce, whisk together cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the skillet.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 1-2 minutes until it slightly thickens.
- Return pork chops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them.
- Simmer for another 2-3 minutes, or until pork chops are cooked through to your desired doneness.
- Serve immediately with the honey garlic sauce spooned over the top.
Notes
- For thicker pork chops, you may need to adjust cooking time.
- Feel free to add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
- Fresh parsley or sesame seeds make a nice garnish.
