Description
This recipe shows you how to make delicious honey garlic glazed salmon. It is quick, healthy, and full of flavor. The sweet and savory glaze makes it a favorite for everyone.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and optional grated ginger. This is your honey garlic glaze.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if applicable) in the skillet. Sear for 2-3 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden.
- Carefully flip the salmon fillets. Pour about half of the honey garlic glaze over the salmon in the skillet.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
- During the last few minutes of baking, you can brush the salmon with a little more glaze if desired, or pour the remaining glaze over the cooked salmon before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions if using. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of honey or soy sauce to your taste.
- For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in the glaze for 15-30 minutes before searing.
- Leftover salmon can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
