Description

This recipe shows you how to make delicious honey garlic glazed salmon. It is quick, healthy, and full of flavor. The sweet and savory glaze makes it a favorite for everyone.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and optional grated ginger. This is your honey garlic glaze.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if applicable) in the skillet. Sear for 2-3 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden.
  5. Carefully flip the salmon fillets. Pour about half of the honey garlic glaze over the salmon in the skillet.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
  7. During the last few minutes of baking, you can brush the salmon with a little more glaze if desired, or pour the remaining glaze over the cooked salmon before serving.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions if using. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of honey or soy sauce to your taste.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in the glaze for 15-30 minutes before searing.
  • Leftover salmon can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
