Description
Make these simple, no-bake Grinch Oreo Balls for a festive holiday treat. They use crushed Oreos and cream cheese, coated in green candy melts, and topped with a small red heart.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies, finely crushed
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 12 oz green candy melts or white chocolate chips with green food coloring
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
- Red heart sprinkles
Instructions
- Place the crushed Oreos into a large bowl.
- Add the softened cream cheese to the crushed cookies. Mix with a spatula or clean hands until the mixture is fully combined and forms a stiff dough.
- Roll the dough into small, uniform balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Chill the Oreo balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm them up.
- Melt the green candy melts according to package directions. If using, stir in the coconut oil for a smoother consistency.
- Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted green coating, allowing excess coating to drip off.
- Immediately place the coated ball back onto the parchment paper.
- While the coating is still wet, press one red heart sprinkle onto the top of each ball to resemble the Grinch’s heart.
- Allow the Grinch Oreo Balls to set completely at room temperature or chill briefly until the coating is hard.
Notes
- For a deeper green color, add one drop of green gel food coloring to the melted candy coating.
- If you do not have red heart sprinkles, you can use red nonpareils or small red M&M’s in a pinch.
- Store finished Grinch Oreo Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
