Description
Prepare moist and flavorful salmon fillets using a simple honey mustard glaze cooked directly on the grill.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat, about 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly oil the grill grates.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, dill, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create the glaze.
- Place the salmon fillets on a plate. Brush about half of the honey mustard glaze evenly over the top side of the salmon fillets.
- Place the salmon fillets on the oiled, hot grill, glaze-side down. Close the grill lid.
- Grill for 4 to 6 minutes until grill marks appear.
- Brush the remaining glaze onto the upward-facing side of the salmon.
- Flip the salmon carefully. Grill for another 4 to 6 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the salmon from the grill and serve immediately.
Notes
- If you are concerned about sticking, place the salmon on cedar planks before grilling.
- You can mix the glaze up to one day ahead and store it in the refrigerator.
- Use a lower heat setting if your glaze starts to burn before the fish cooks through.
