Whip up these delightful Gingerbread Oreo Truffles for your holiday gatherings! They’re easy to make and taste like Christmas in every bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (14.3 oz) Gingerbread Oreo cookies
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon gingerbread spice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 12 oz white chocolate, chopped
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
- Crushed gingerbread cookies or festive sprinkles, for decorating
Instructions
- Crush the Gingerbread Oreos into fine crumbs. A food processor works best.
- In a large bowl, mix the Oreo crumbs with the softened cream cheese until well combined.
- Stir in the gingerbread spice, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg. Mix until the spices are evenly distributed.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Freeze the truffle balls for at least 15-30 minutes until firm.
- Melt the white chocolate. You can do this in a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval. If using, stir in the coconut oil for a smoother consistency.
- Dip each frozen truffle ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Place the coated truffles back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with crushed gingerbread cookies or festive sprinkles.
- Refrigerate the truffles for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
Notes
- For a stronger gingerbread flavor, you can add an extra 1/4 teaspoon of gingerbread spice.
- If you don’t have gingerbread Oreos, you can use regular Oreos and add more gingerbread spices to the cream cheese mixture.
- Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
