Description
A simple recipe for making crispy, flavorful roasted cauliflower coated in garlic and Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil until they are evenly coated.
- Add the minced garlic, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Toss again until the seasonings distribute over the cauliflower.
- Spread the seasoned cauliflower in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Do not overcrowd the pan; use two sheets if necessary for crispier results.
- Roast for 15 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the cauliflower. Gently toss the florets on the pan.
- Return the cauliflower to the oven and roast for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and tender inside.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For the best flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese instead of pre-shredded.
- If you prefer a crispier texture, roast the cauliflower without the cheese for the first 20 minutes, then add the cheese for the final 5-10 minutes of cooking.
- You can substitute dried minced garlic for fresh, using 1 teaspoon in place of 3 cloves.
