Description

Learn how to make delicious Garlic Parmesan Crispy Roasted Broccoli. This simple recipe delivers perfectly tender interiors and wonderfully crisp edges, flavored with garlic and salty Parmesan cheese. It’s a fantastic, quick side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until the broccoli is evenly coated.
  3. Spread the seasoned broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Do not overcrowd the pan; use two sheets if necessary for maximum crispiness.
  4. Roast for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the broccoli.
  6. Return the broccoli to the oven and roast for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the edges are nicely browned and crisp.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your perfectly roasted broccoli.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, ensure your broccoli florets are dry before tossing them with oil.
  • If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder along with the salt and pepper.
  • If you do not have fresh Parmesan, use shelf-stable grated Parmesan, but add it only during the last 2 minutes of cooking to prevent burning.
