Instructions

  1. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add steak cubes in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan. Sear for 1-2 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet.
