Description
Make this simple fruit pizza using store-bought sugar cookie dough for a quick dessert base, topped with a sweet cream cheese frosting and fresh fruit.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (16.5 ounces) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk
- 4 cups mixed fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, mandarin oranges)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 12-inch pizza pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Press the refrigerated sugar cookie dough evenly onto the prepared pan to form a large cookie crust.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown. Let the cookie crust cool completely on the pan.
- While the crust cools, prepare the cream cheese frosting. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the milk one tablespoon at a time until the frosting reaches a spreadable consistency.
- Once the cookie crust is fully cool, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the top, leaving a small border if desired.
- Arrange your mixed fresh fruit decoratively over the frosting. You can create patterns or simply scatter the fruit.
- Chill the fruit pizza for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For mini fruit pizzas, press small amounts of dough onto a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes. Adjust frosting and fruit amounts accordingly.
- You can use any combination of firm, colorful fruit you like for the topping.
- To make the frosting firmer for easier slicing, reduce the milk slightly.
