Description

Make this simple fruit pizza using store-bought sugar cookie dough for a quick dessert base, topped with a sweet cream cheese frosting and fresh fruit.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (16.5 ounces) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 4 cups mixed fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, mandarin oranges)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 12-inch pizza pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Press the refrigerated sugar cookie dough evenly onto the prepared pan to form a large cookie crust.
  3. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown. Let the cookie crust cool completely on the pan.
  4. While the crust cools, prepare the cream cheese frosting. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Add the milk one tablespoon at a time until the frosting reaches a spreadable consistency.
  6. Once the cookie crust is fully cool, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the top, leaving a small border if desired.
  7. Arrange your mixed fresh fruit decoratively over the frosting. You can create patterns or simply scatter the fruit.
  8. Chill the fruit pizza for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For mini fruit pizzas, press small amounts of dough onto a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes. Adjust frosting and fruit amounts accordingly.
  • You can use any combination of firm, colorful fruit you like for the topping.
  • To make the frosting firmer for easier slicing, reduce the milk slightly.
