Spicy jalapeños filled with a creamy cheese mixture and wrapped in crispy bacon.

- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 12 fresh jalapeño peppers
- 6 slices bacon, cut in half crosswise
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.
- Carefully slice each jalapeño pepper in half lengthwise. Use a spoon to remove the seeds and membranes.
- Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half.
- Wrap each filled jalapeño half with a half slice of bacon. Secure with a toothpick if necessary.
- Place the bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For less heat, soak the jalapeño halves in ice water for 30 minutes after seeding.
- Wear gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid skin irritation.
- You can experiment with different types of cheese.
