Description
This recipe delivers a small batch of safe-to-eat cookie dough. It is egg-free and uses heat-treated flour for a delicious, no-bake treat perfect for one or two people.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk (any kind)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, heat-treated
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips (mini or regular)

- Heat treat your flour: Spread your flour on a microwave-safe plate and microwave on high for 1 minute and 15 seconds, stirring halfway through. Or, spread on a baking sheet and bake at 300°F (150°C) for 5-7 minutes. Let it cool completely.
- In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and milk until combined.
- Gradually add the cooled, heat-treated flour and salt, mixing until just combined and no dry streaks remain.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Serve immediately or chill for a firmer texture.
Notes
- Heat treating the flour kills any potential bacteria, making the dough safe to eat raw.
- You can customize this recipe with different mix-ins like sprinkles, nuts, or other candy pieces.
