- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pepperoni

- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface. Gently press the perforations together to form one large rectangle.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border on one long edge.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and chopped pepperoni evenly over the sauce.
- Starting from the long edge opposite the border, tightly roll the dough into a log.
- Brush the outside of the log lightly with melted butter, if using.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 12 equal rounds, about 3/4 inch thick.
- Place the pinwheels cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning if desired.
- Bake for 10-14 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
