Description
Prepare this simple Overnight Chia Pudding for an easy, make-ahead breakfast. It is a wonderful way to start your day with minimal morning effort.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a jar or container, combine the chia seeds, milk, sweetener (if using), vanilla extract, and salt.
- Stir well to make sure the chia seeds are fully submerged and there are no clumps.
- Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes, then stir again thoroughly. This prevents the seeds from sticking to the bottom.
- Cover the container and place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
- In the morning, check the consistency. If it is too thick, stir in a splash more milk.
- Serve cold with your favorite toppings like fresh fruit or nuts.
Notes

- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
