  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons red food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan, or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar for the brownie batter.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar for the cheesecake swirl until smooth.
  9. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  10. In a small bowl, whisk together the red food coloring, cocoa powder, and flour. Add this mixture to the cream cheese mixture and beat until well combined and uniformly colored.
  11. Dollop spoonfuls of the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter in the pan.
  12. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake dollops.
  13. Using a knife or skewer, gently swirl the cheesecake batter into the brownie batter.
  14. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
