Description
Discover the easiest way to achieve tender, juicy steak every time using your slow cooker. These garlic butter steak bites are perfect for busy weeknights and require minimal hands-on effort.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the cubed steak into your slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme evenly over the steak pieces. Toss gently to coat.
- Pour the beef broth over the steak mixture.
- Arrange the pieces of butter on top of the steak.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours, or on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours, until the steak is very tender.
- For extra flavor, stir in the minced garlic during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Remove the steak bites with a slotted spoon. If you want a thicker sauce, you can simmer the remaining liquid on the stovetop until reduced.
- Serve the steak bites immediately, drizzled with the pan juices, and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For the best ‘melt-in-your-mouth’ results, use sirloin or chuck roast and cook on the LOW setting for the full time.
- Serve these steak bites over mashed potatoes or egg noodles for a complete, hearty meal.
- If you prefer a smothered steak texture, use a larger cut like a chuck roast and skip cubing it until after cooking.
