Description

Discover the easiest way to achieve tender, juicy steak every time using your slow cooker. These garlic butter steak bites are perfect for busy weeknights and require minimal hands-on effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed steak into your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme evenly over the steak pieces. Toss gently to coat.
  3. Pour the beef broth over the steak mixture.
  4. Arrange the pieces of butter on top of the steak.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours, or on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours, until the steak is very tender.
  6. For extra flavor, stir in the minced garlic during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  7. Remove the steak bites with a slotted spoon. If you want a thicker sauce, you can simmer the remaining liquid on the stovetop until reduced.
  8. Serve the steak bites immediately, drizzled with the pan juices, and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For the best ‘melt-in-your-mouth’ results, use sirloin or chuck roast and cook on the LOW setting for the full time.
  • Serve these steak bites over mashed potatoes or egg noodles for a complete, hearty meal.
  • If you prefer a smothered steak texture, use a larger cut like a chuck roast and skip cubing it until after cooking.
