  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional toppings: chopped chives, sour cream, shredded lettuce


Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to combine with the sauce.
  6. Stir in the crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Cover and cook for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve hot, with optional toppings if desired.
