Enjoy these incredibly crispy fried chicken tenders, perfect for a family meal or a fun appetizer. They’re easy to make and bursting with flavor!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch strips
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In another shallow dish, whisk together eggs and milk.
  3. Place panko breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.
  4. Dip each chicken tender first into the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  5. Next, dip the floured chicken into the egg mixture, letting any excess drip off.
  6. Finally, coat the chicken generously with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  7. Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Carefully place a few chicken tenders into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
  9. Fry for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Remove chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a wire rack set over a baking sheet to drain.
  11. Repeat with remaining chicken tenders.

Notes

  • For extra crispy tenders, double-coat the chicken with the panko breadcrumbs.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like honey mustard, ranch, or BBQ sauce.
  • Ensure the oil is at the correct temperature for best results.
