Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch strips
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, whisk together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another shallow dish, whisk together eggs and milk.
- Place panko breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.
- Dip each chicken tender first into the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Next, dip the floured chicken into the egg mixture, letting any excess drip off.
- Finally, coat the chicken generously with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully place a few chicken tenders into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a wire rack set over a baking sheet to drain.
- Repeat with remaining chicken tenders.
Notes
- For extra crispy tenders, double-coat the chicken with the panko breadcrumbs.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like honey mustard, ranch, or BBQ sauce.
- Ensure the oil is at the correct temperature for best results.
