  • 1 pound pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (5 ounces each) tuna, drained
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the drained tuna.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the tuna mixture and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute.
  6. Gradually whisk in milk and heavy cream until smooth.
  7. Bring the sauce to a simmer, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
  8. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  9. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
  10. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
