Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso
  • Whipped cream for topping (optional)
  • Extra pinch of pumpkin pie spice for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture is hot but not boiling.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Pour the hot pumpkin mixture into a blender.
  5. Add the brewed coffee or espresso to the blender.
  6. Blend on high speed for about 30 seconds until frothy and well combined.

Notes

  • Adjust the sugar to your sweetness preference.
  • Ensure you are using pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling, as the latter contains added spices and sugar.
