Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not let it brown.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Pour the chicken broth into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Let it simmer for 1 minute.
- Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet. Stir gently to coat the shrimp in the sauce.
- Stir in the fresh lemon juice. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- You can use frozen shrimp; just make sure they are fully thawed and patted dry before cooking.
- For extra flavor, use fresh garlic instead of pre-minced.
- If you prefer a richer sauce, add a tablespoon of butter along with the olive oil.
