- 2/3 cup cold milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the dried cranberries and orange zest.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat it into a 3/4-inch thick circle.
- Cut the circle into 8 wedges.
- Place the wedges on the prepared baking sheet.
