Description
Make a dressing that tastes just like Panera’s Green Goddess Dressing using fresh herbs and simple ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, packed
- 1/4 cup fresh chives, packed
- 2 tablespoons fresh tarragon leaves
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons water (or more, for thinning)
Instructions
- Place the mayonnaise, sour cream, parsley, chives, tarragon, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper into a food processor or blender.
- Process the mixture until it is completely smooth and the herbs are finely incorporated. Scrape down the sides as needed.
- Add the water, one tablespoon at a time, while blending until you reach your desired dressing consistency.
- Taste the dressing and adjust salt or lemon juice if necessary.
- Transfer the dressing to an airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- For a tangier flavor, substitute 1/4 cup of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
- If you do not have fresh tarragon, you can omit it, but the flavor profile will be slightly different.
- This dressing works well as a dip for vegetables or sandwiches.
