Description

Make a dressing that tastes just like Panera’s Green Goddess Dressing using fresh herbs and simple ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, packed
  • 1/4 cup fresh chives, packed
  • 2 tablespoons fresh tarragon leaves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons water (or more, for thinning)


Instructions

  1. Place the mayonnaise, sour cream, parsley, chives, tarragon, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper into a food processor or blender.
  2. Process the mixture until it is completely smooth and the herbs are finely incorporated. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  3. Add the water, one tablespoon at a time, while blending until you reach your desired dressing consistency.
  4. Taste the dressing and adjust salt or lemon juice if necessary.
  5. Transfer the dressing to an airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a tangier flavor, substitute 1/4 cup of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
  • If you do not have fresh tarragon, you can omit it, but the flavor profile will be slightly different.
  • This dressing works well as a dip for vegetables or sandwiches.
