Description
Make an authentic tasting Dunkin’ Wake-Up Wrap at home quickly using this simple recipe for a folded egg, cheese, and meat tortilla sandwich.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large flour tortilla (6-8 inch)
- 1 large egg
- 1 slice American cheese
- 2 slices cooked bacon or 1 pre-cooked sausage patty
- 1 teaspoon butter or oil
Instructions
- Heat a small non-stick skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
- Crack the egg into the skillet. Immediately place a round lid or a smaller pan on top of the egg to help it cook into a flat, round shape.
- Cook until the edges are set, about 1-2 minutes.
- Place the slice of cheese on top of the egg while it cooks.
- Fold the edges of the egg toward the center to create a rough square or circle shape that fits the tortilla. Cook for 30 seconds more until the cheese melts.
- Warm the tortilla in a separate dry skillet or microwave for 10 seconds until pliable.
- Place the warm tortilla on a flat surface. Lay the cooked egg and cheese in the center.
- Place your cooked bacon or sausage patty on top of the egg.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then fold the bottom edge up and over the filling, rolling tightly to create a sealed wrap.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can use pre-cooked turkey sausage or ham instead of bacon or pork sausage.
- For a faster cook time, use liquid egg whites poured into a mold.
- Add a dash of hot sauce inside the wrap before rolling for extra flavor.
