Description

Make an authentic tasting Dunkin’ Wake-Up Wrap at home quickly using this simple recipe for a folded egg, cheese, and meat tortilla sandwich.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large flour tortilla (6-8 inch)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 slice American cheese
  • 2 slices cooked bacon or 1 pre-cooked sausage patty
  • 1 teaspoon butter or oil

Instructions

  1. Heat a small non-stick skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
  2. Crack the egg into the skillet. Immediately place a round lid or a smaller pan on top of the egg to help it cook into a flat, round shape.
  3. Cook until the edges are set, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Place the slice of cheese on top of the egg while it cooks.
  5. Fold the edges of the egg toward the center to create a rough square or circle shape that fits the tortilla. Cook for 30 seconds more until the cheese melts.
  6. Warm the tortilla in a separate dry skillet or microwave for 10 seconds until pliable.
  7. Place the warm tortilla on a flat surface. Lay the cooked egg and cheese in the center.
  8. Place your cooked bacon or sausage patty on top of the egg.
  9. Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then fold the bottom edge up and over the filling, rolling tightly to create a sealed wrap.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can use pre-cooked turkey sausage or ham instead of bacon or pork sausage.
  • For a faster cook time, use liquid egg whites poured into a mold.
  • Add a dash of hot sauce inside the wrap before rolling for extra flavor.
