Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Prepare the streusel: In a medium bowl, combine the flour and brown sugar for the topping. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the cinnamon.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Generously press the streusel mixture onto the top of each dough ball.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Make the glaze: Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies.
