Description
Sticky and sweet chicken wings made with a delicious Coca-Cola BBQ sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings, tips removed and flats and drumettes separated
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup Coca-Cola
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
- Arrange wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through and slightly crispy.
- While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce. In a saucepan, combine ketchup, Coca-Cola, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
- Remove wings from the oven and toss them in the warm Coca-Cola BBQ sauce until fully coated.
- Return the coated wings to the baking sheet and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce is sticky and caramelized.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, broil for the last 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- You can adjust the amount of brown sugar for your desired level of sweetness.
- These wings can also be grilled. Grill over medium heat, turning occasionally, until cooked through and then toss in the warm sauce and grill for a few more minutes to caramelize.
