Description
Make simple and sweet Chocolate-Covered Pretzels, the perfect easy treat for Valentine’s Day. You will love how quickly these come together.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bag (12 ounces) pretzel rods or twists
- 12 ounces good quality melting chocolate (milk, dark, or white)
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
- Valentine’s Day sprinkles or colored candy melts (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the chocolate. You can use a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval. If using, stir in the coconut oil until smooth.
- Dip the pretzels into the melted chocolate, coating about two-thirds of the pretzel. Let excess chocolate drip off.
- Place the coated pretzels onto the prepared baking sheet.
- If decorating, immediately sprinkle with Valentine’s Day sprinkles or drizzle with contrasting colored candy melts.
- Allow the chocolate to set completely. You can place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 15 to 20 minutes to speed up the setting process.
- Serve and enjoy your homemade Valentine treat!
Notes
- Use high-quality melting chocolate for the best flavor and shine.
- If the chocolate gets too thick while dipping, reheat it briefly.
- Store finished pretzels in an airtight container at cool room temperature.
